The United States was the first place I every travelled. It is the largest and closest country to Canada so it is no wonder that it was the first place to go. It was also at a time when we had an open boarder and did not need a passport to travel between the two countries just basic identification like a driver’s licence.
I don’t even remember my first few trips to the States. I know that I went to California when I was 3 and went to Disneyland. I know we went again when I was older (maybe 10) but I don’t remember that trip at all either. I have travelled to Washington to cross boarder shop and California to attend anime conventions. I have travelled to Las Vegas to gamble and see shows. I have gone to Arizona to attend a friends wedding. There is still much I want to do and see in the States but as it is so close and so similar it is less of a priority. Now I also want to wait and see what happens with the next presidential election. From what I’ve seeing if Trump is elected I won’t be welcome in the States because as a Canadian I would have the potential to be a terrorist because we let anyone in our boarders. I also think that if Trump is elected it will be less expensive to travel to the States because he will run the economy into the ground just like he ran TrumpSteak, TrunpAirline, and many other projects into the ground. |
